New Photographic Collection by Zucci Hairdressing for Aveda Colour Harmony

Presenting the new collection Fusion by the 2018 Zucci Creative Team! The images were created for the Aveda Colour Harmony 2018 Competition. The collection features work by three of our team members from Zucci.

The theme this year was  – “Know What You Are Made Off.” What is your style of work? What do you stand for? How do you do what you do? What does Aveda mean to you? These are the key points that had to be considered by each team member when creating their concepts.

This year the team was made up of Shakira, Zak and Bianca and lead by Rocco. “We as a group decided each of our looks individually based on the theme. We did this as it was really important to ensure that the work we presented really reflected our personal style of work.” Shakira said.
Each image has a strong individual personality but also compliments the other images and looks harmonious as a collection.
Joining the team for the first time was Bianca from Zucci South Melbourne. Bianca is in the 2nd year of her apprenticeship and chose to be part of the team this year for this photo shoot. As Bianca has never worked on a photo shoot before she said “This opportunity was so exciting! I wanted to create an image that showed my strengths and my love of hair colouring. Having just finished my styling components in my training, I chose for my look to have a strong classic styling finish. With the colour I wanted to have bold contrast to show off the texture of the curl but also create a fusion between what is classic and contemporary.” Learning to work on creative projects and being able to express your individual creativity is what we at Zucci Hairdressing make a focus.

Joining the team again this year is Zak from Zucci South Melbourne. Zak created the above look on right. His entry was his first time entering the Colour Harmony Category. For this look he said “I chose to create a very bold contrasting look on a longer shape. I enjoy styling long hair, there is nothing better then working with long healthy hair. I chose to work with Bhavna’s natural dark hair at the root moving it into a bold golden blonde then transitioning into an inky blue. I wanted to create a strong contrast but also have a fusion in the tones that I chose. I love the way the colour and the image came out. I hope you do too!” 
The last member of the team this year was Shakira. Having competed and been a finalist before in multiple categories of this competition, Shakira chose to enter the Mens, Colour Harmony and Editorial categories this year. “For the comp this year I wanted to have 3 very different looks for each category. I wanted to have a very clashing look for my Editorial entry, and I wanted it to be fun and have some flair to it. My style of work is classic and beautiful. I chose to use these two elements as my focus for the Mens and Colour Harmony entries.” It was announced that Shakira has become a finalist for her entry into the Mens category. Winners will be announced on the 6th of August 2018.
This collection would not be possible without the extended team who worked very hard to make all this happen.
